Meet the team

Rachel Ledua

Branch Manager

Rachel has worked in rentals, sales and auctions for over 20 years locally and nationally. She has worked for EMPM Ltd since 2013, although she worked for firm 10 years previously. Rachel is a member of ARLA so has a very good knowledge of the property market and the requirements needed to satisfy a landlord and tenant. She is in the process of studying towards her NFoPP Technical Award in Residential letting and Property Management QCF.

Rachel will cover every aspect of the job, ensuring new legislations are adhered to and that landlords are kept up to date and make the necessary changes when required. Rachel will monitor your property when it is available to ensure that it is hitting its maximum potential to get the most out of the marketing and may even throw you some free extras in on the advertising!!!

She is there to ensure that your tenant is the right tenant for you, that arrears if / when they occur are dealt with promptly and effectively and that properties are maintained by both landlords and tenants.

She oversees the office and keeps her staff working hard by a supply of cakes or sweet treats but will jump in should cover be needed for inspections or move outs in addition to her role. Rachel’s aim is to keep her clients happy! It’s a simple equation…Happy clients = Happy Rachel!

Rachel lives locally and thinks Newark is a lovely, quirky place to visit, with so many individual shops and places to visit, it really does have the appeal to draw newcomers to the town. She is very busy bringing up her twins, attending the gym and likes to do obstacle races when she has the opportunity or any charity fund raising where ever possible, so be prepared to see cake sales taking place when you visit!

Sue Hill

Senior Letting Administrator

Sue has worked for EMPM since 2007. As she has been a landlord, Sue understands the dilemmas’ that landlords can face and what they want. Previously she worked in residential sales so has the knowledge when it comes to sales advice. Sue primarily looks after new applicants and moves tenants into their homes, she will ensure that checks are made and Right to Rent Legislations are followed; she will register the deposits and ensure that everything is compliant ready for your tenant(s) to move in or if she’s not satisfied then they won’t be moving!!

Sue has worked and lived in Newark and Grantham for quite some years and knows both areas very well. She enjoys looking after her grandchildren and relaxing on the golf course in her spare time along with some personal training at the gym.

Jane Freshwater

Senior Lettings Negotiator

Jane has worked for the firm since 2005 and is responsible for the Final Inspections at the properties when a tenant vacates. From accepting the initial notice, she sees the process right through to the deposit being returned to the tenant, to ensure a happy customer is on both sides of the fence and that any dilapidations are dealt with fairly and swiftly. She doesn’t take sides and plays fair!

Jane has been living in and around Newark most of her life, from attending school to raising her family here, and living for a few years in Gibraltar, there is no where locally she doesn’t know!!! Jane is part of a local running club, Newark Striders, where she has started to undertake running 5k races or dye dash races to raise money for local Charities in her spare time.

Susan Wilkinson

Accounts Administrator & Lettings Negotiator

Susan joined EMPM in 2016, primarily coming from a financial and customer service background. Susan covers all aspects of the job, from viewings, to inspections to moving tenants in and out of properties and also the accounts where she ensures that rents are collected and paid, arrears chased efficiently and suppliers are paid!

Susan has worked and lived in Newark and the local area all her life, her knowledge of the places of interest and transport network is second to none! Susan in her spare time runs a local Girl Guide Unit, she has two grown up children and she is also a member of Newark Striders where she is completing a number of charity runs.

Toni Ledger

Maintenance and Accounts Administrator

Toni joined the team in 2017 and comes from a strong customer service background along with having accountancy experience.

Her role involves visiting properties to do all the maintenance inspections, this is to ensure that the properties are in good order for both landlords and tenants, making sure that any maintenance issues are resolved and that our tenants are keeping the properties in a satisfactory condition.  Toni also carries out viewings and helps with any office administration when required to complete her visits. She will also support the accounts team, working alongside Susan.

Toni has lived  and worked in Newark for the majority of her life.  She has a very good knowledge of the area and knows the best places to visit and likes to attend as many local events as possible.  Knowing the area as she does, Toni is the best person in the office to advise you of where to go and what to see locally.

In her spare time she is mum to her daughter where they attend drama clubs, visit new places and generally have various adventures all over!
